Along with his love of real ale, landlord Alan has a passion for cooking, and his lasagne and curries are his specialities. The Cheeseburger is excellent as well, and the Jumbo Hot Dog recently gained a young neighbour's enthusiastic stamp of approval. The sandwiches, made with crusty bread, are all specially prepared with a wide choice of fillings and condiments.
Other menu specialities include Spaghetti Bolognese, Scampi and Chips, and Chilli Con Carne. Check the board for Vegetarian specials such as Broccoli and Stilton Quiche and Vegetarian Curry. Don't miss the Winter Warmer Specials: Beef in Beer or Cottage Pie with choice of vegetables for only £3.75. Be sure to ask if there are any items not listed on the menu, such as sausage rolls and soups. Any special requests are welcome as well.
Finish your meal with a fine cup of Kent Roasters Colombia/Costa Rica coffee or a cup of tea (Assam, Darjeeling, or Earl Grey).
Lunch is served all day, with last orders at 9:00 PM.
