The Royal Oak is a delightful 17th century free house located in Brookland next to St. Augustine's Church. This fine example of a Romney Marsh village pub features fine real ales as well as good home cooked food with a large selection of daily specials. There is a pretty beer garden, so families with well-behaved children are most welcome. Venture out to the Marsh and sample the friendly, sociable atmosphere. You will be assured of a warm reception by the delightful staff.

Landlord Andrew Lovell spent over twenty years in the advertising business as an extremely efficient hands-on accountant. Now he runs the Royal Oak with his two lovely greyhounds, Ziggy and Ellie. A most interesting and engaging gentleman, Andrew bears the proud title of "Strange Landlord"; whether this is a good thing or bad can only be ascertained by a visit.

Andrew always welcomes comments and criticisms on his food and real ales. But be forewarned: make them constructive!
